PURPOSE:To easily manufacture the heat exchanger by providing recessed grooves in the longitudinal direction of the outsides of flat tubes to form the heat exchanger, fitting brazing filler metals therein, then, inserting these into holes formed on a fin and a tube plate to melt the brazing filler metals and brazing integrally the flat tubes, the tube plate and the fin. CONSTITUTION:A couple of recessed grooves 1, are formed on the outside of the center in the cross direction of the flat tubes 2 made of a Cu, Al or stainless steel sheet. The brazing filler metals 3 slightly shorter than the flat tubes 2 are fitted in the recessed grooves 1 and continuously, both ends of the flat tubes 2 are inserted into the flat holes of the tube plate 4 and the fin 5 is arranged between the flat tubes 2 and 2 to assemble the heat exchanger. The ends of the flat tubes 2 inserted into the tube plate 4 are then expanded and the recessed grooves of the parts are flattened and then, expanded the brazing filler metals 3 are molten and the flat tubes 2, the tube plate 4 and the fin 5 are brazed and fixed integrally. The heat exchanger can be manufactured with high productivity by the simple method. |
