METHOD FOR CONVERTING VIDEO SIGNAL INTO FILM PICTURE

PURPOSE:To improve a video signal and to convert it into a film picture by introducing a digital video signal subjected to movement compensation having a scanning frame sequentially from an input video signal and converting the signal into an analog signal. CONSTITUTION:Part of the video signal reproduced by a digital VTR 11 is converted into a video signal with movement correction corresponding to the sequential scanning 24 times per one sec at a TV standard system conversion circuit 12. The video signal outputted from the circuit 12 is recorded on a digital VTR14. Then the video signal is reproduced by a digital VTR 31 and fed to a gamma correction circuit 33, in which the gamma characteristic of the video signal is matched with the film gamma characteristic. The digital video signal subjected to gamma correction is converted into an analog signal by a D/A converter circuit 34 and fed to an electron beam recording circuit 35 recording a picture onto the film.
