摘要 Process for removing buried pipelines involves drawing a three layer flexible tube through a faulty length of pipe. The tube comprises thin inner and outer layers and a central layer comprising reinforcement contg. a curable resin. When in position the tube is inflated to meet the pipe wall and the resin is cured to rigidify the tube. The resin can be self-curing, or cured with IR- or UV light, heat or gas. The resin system must have a long shelf life to allow for prodn., transportation, installation, and inflation. Pipes can also be produced at ground level by unrolling the laminated tube, inflating and curing by sunlight. USE/ADVANTAGE - Buried damage pipelines, pref. for water, sewage, etc can be renovated and resealed. New ground level pipes can also be produced. Process is simple, economic and environmentally friendly. It can be used in areas of high ground water pressure. A fault free pipeline is produced which prevents fluid escape.
