PURPOSE:To average printing density and to improve quality by providing a means detecting the density of a developer and a means controlling a motor based on the detection of the detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A toner mark 11 previously printed on paper 10 is detected by a light emitting diode 9 and a phototoransistor 8. A control quantity (the revolution time of a toner motor) is sent to an averaging control part 2 by a control part 1. When the control is performed, the remainder resulting from the averaging operation is pooled into a residual quantity memory part 3. By adding the pooled values at the next timing,the toner motor 7 is controlled. The printing density is thus preferably controlled, and therefore, stable quality without change in the density can be attained. |
