The torsional vibration balancer (10) consists of a radially external, annular flywheel mass (11) between which and a hub (12) fixed to the shaft (18) is a rubber spring (13). The rubber spring (13) incorporates insertion pieces (14) affecting its isotropy, in the form of radially and axially pointing fibres (14), and radially and axially pointing theads. The rubber spring radially pointing threads are connected to the radially external flywheel mass (11) and to the radially inner hub (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - The torsional vibration balancer possesses increased radial rigidity and avoids imbalance by incorporating non-rubber insertions.
