METHOD FOR DIP PROCESSING OF HIGH-TENACITY POLYESTER CORD FABRIC FOR REINFORCING RUBBER

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in strength and elongation by dipping a polyester grey cord for reinforcing rubber composed of drawn polyester yarn in an RF/L, heat-treating the resultant cord and then subjecting the above- mentioned cord to mechanical softening treatment under a specific value of below of tension. CONSTITUTION:A polyester grey cord for reinforcing rubber composed of drawn polyester yarn is dipped in a mixture solution of an RF/L(resorcin-formalin/ rubber latex) and heat-treated to completely resinify the RF/L. The resultant cord is then subjected to mechanical softening treatment under <=0.10g/d cord tension to crush the resin glued in the interior of the aforementioned resin and remove restriction between fibers. Thereby, strength and elongation performances are remarkably improved without impairing conventional cord performances.
