Machines for radiusing the edges of stone slabs by grinding are subject to heavy wear of open slideways used to guide the grinding unit in a circular path about the edge being machined. This is avoided by the use of two arms (2) and (3) which are pivotted about points (6) and (7) respectively. The machine body (1) is attached to the arms at pivots (13) and (14), and attached to the machine body at pivot (11) is the grinding unit (5,10). A connecting rod (8) couples the arms and grinding unit so that they move together. When the machine body pivots about (6) and (7) a radius is produced on the edge of the work (4) by the wheel (10), whose face remains always tangential to the work surface. Different radii are produced by axial-adjustment of the wheel position. USE/ADVANTAGE - Reduced machine wear and greater workpiece accuracy.,
