An automatic quantitative determination of substrates in biocatalysts for use in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, medicine and environmental protection is based on potentiometric and amperometric enzyme electrodes or biosensors. A computer-aided calibrating and differential measuring system (1) is joined by an A/D converter (2) to a control/evaluator (3) for a quantitative evaluation of potentiometric and amperometric measuring signals. The unit (3) has a clock (18), a timer (19), a procedure control (20), a sample identification (21), a calibration control (22), a readings recorder (23), a processor (24), a temporary storage (25), an ON-system for sensors (26) and a current supply (29). The unit (1) includes the test solution (11), a feed proportioner (10), the cell (5) with the system of biosensors (7), two sensors (15, 16) and a reference sensor (17). ADVANTAGE - This minimises manual labour for measuring and controling and evaluating; it also improves the precision, reliability and rapidity.
