Axial magnetic field switch for vacuum switchgear - has windings outside vacuum space attached to contact and electrode carriers on ends of fixed and sliding members
摘要
A feedthrough insulator (3) leads into a vacuum chamber (2) in which a fixed switch member (4) and a sliding member (4') are aligned on the axis. A bellows (12) around the sliding member (4') is prolonged into vacuum-tight sleeves (13-15). The magnetic field is produced by two three-part rings (17,17') on the respective members (4,4') fixed outside the vacuum space (19) to conductors extending radially from the centres of the contact carriers (9,9'). ADVANTAGE - Windings can be mfd. of standard machine copper. Heat is dispersed directly to atmos. Smaller chamber can be evacuated more quickly.
