A chair intended for use in means of public transport is from considerations of safety provided with a stable profile frame (1), which is common to the seat and backrest of the chair. A safety belt is secured to said frame, the reel of which belt is attached to the mounting frame of said profile frame, whereas a passage for the belt is provided in the lateral area at the upper portion of said profile frame to provide for the desired three-point system for such belts. The belt end is fastened to profile frame (1) in the region between seat and backrest, whereas the belt latch (12) is fastened to the opposite side of the profile frame. This arrangement of the safety belt is also applicable to a chair the tilting angle of which is adjustable about a firm tilting point at the front edge of the chair. |
