摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To improve the surface of a substrate with a substantially poor ink receptivity into an ink receptive surface being useful for a mechanical pen plotter and having ink absorbability and drying properties by covering a composite liquid-absorptive medium consisting of a surface layer with large liquid permeability and an underlayer with larger liquid absorbability (or short drying time). CONSTITUTION: In preparing a transparent polymer image sheet 1, e.g. methanol is heated close to its boiling point and a poly(methyl vinyl ether/maleic anhydride) is slowly added therein while it is continuously agitated and the transparent solution obtained is applied on a polyester sheet 3 by its wet thickness by means of a knife coater and it is dried in an oven and the solvent is removed to form an underlayer 9. Then, the second soln. consisting of a cellulose acetate/ butyrate dissolved in methyl ethyle ketone is wet-coated on the polymer layer and the sheet is dried and the solvent is removed to form a surface layer 7. A composite medium consisting of respectively selected surface material and an underlayer candidate material with the fastest and slowest absorbing time for determining an achievable range of absorbing time is prepd. and to select a combination with a required absorbing time.</p>
