PURPOSE:To enable stepless speed change and steering by tilting of a symmetrical pair of driving wheels by forming them spherical. CONSTITUTION:When levers 15, 15' are synchronously tilted, the members ahead of bearing frames 4, 4' or joints 13, 13' of axles 6, 6' are bent downwards via transmission members 17, 17', respectively. Left and right spherical wheels 10, 10' are thereby tilted in camber fashion at the same time to shift grounding points so that a diameter (d) of each of wheels is made shorter than D of them under the original state. As a revolution speed of each of the axles 6, 6' is constant, a speed of a vehicle is decelerated. Synchronous rise of the levers 15, 15' is accompanied by gradual setting-up of the left and right spherical wheels 10, 10', providing stepless acceleration because of gradual increase in the diameter thereof. When one 15' of the levers is pushed forward, the related spherical wheel 10' is tilted and the relation between diameters of the left and right wheels is D>d. The vehicle is turned to the side of the wheel 10' which has the shorter diameter. |
