PURPOSE:To remove all the poisonous substances from the ash of incinerated refuse and to obtain safe stone or sate gravel for concrete by mixing the ash remaining after the incineration of municipal refuse with Portland cement in 1:1 ratio and by carrying out fluidization by heating to a high temp., degassing and cooling by a specified system. CONSTITUTION:The ash of incinerated refuse is mixed with Portland cement in 1:1 ratio or the ash is mixed with fly ash in 1:1 ratio and this mixture is mixed with Portland cement in 1:1 ratio. The cement-contg. mixture is melted to a fluidized state by heating to about 1,400 deg.C in a furnace. Heating is then stopped and the resulting melt is degassed under mild stirring until the flowability is lost. It is rapidly cooled to about 900 deg.C and slowly cooled for 100hr with heat left in the furnace to produce stone. |
