WATER-ABSORPTIVE ANTISTATIC TREATING AGENT AND TREATING METHOD USING SAME TREATING AGENT

PURPOSE:To obtain the title treating agent containing a special and thermally reactive blocked material consisting of natural polysaccharide derivatives and organic polyisocyanate and specific urethane prepolymer and capable of providing a synthetic fiber with durable water absorption properties and antistatic properties. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic fiber is treated using a treating agent obtained by blending (A) an aqueous solution (or water dispersing liquid) of thermally reactive blocked material obtained by blocking isocyanate group of urethane compound obtained from polysaccharide derivatives in which an alkylene oxide is added to and organic polyisocyanate with (B) thermally reactive urethane prepolymer blocked material having one or more cationic group and/or amphoteric group in one molecule and having isocyanate group blocked with a thermally dissociative blocking agent at amounts of 3-20wt.% component A and 3-5wt.% component B to provide the synthetic fiber cloth having washability and possessing water absorption properties and antistatic properties together at high level.
