NEW MATERIAL:The tetrapyrazinoporphyrazine compound of formula I [Z forms the group of formula II or formula III together with two adjacent C atoms of pyrazine ring (these groups may have substituents); M is (2H), metal, metal oxide, metal hydroxide, acyl-metal, alkoxy-metal, siloxy-metal or metal halide]. EXAMPLE:The compound of formula IV. USE:Useful as an optical recording medium, photo-sensitive material for electrophotography and laser printer, oxidation and reduction medium, an agent for keeping the freshness of flowers, cut flowers and foods, etc. It can be easily produced by simple procedure, has excellent solubility in solvents and effectively absorbs near infrared to visible light. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by reacting a (substituted) dicyano compound of formula V, formula VI, formula VII, etc., with a metal oxide in a high-boiling inert solvent at 100-250 deg.C. |
