The combined unit comprises heat engines whose waste heat is transferred to other heat engines whereby the leading engine delivers gas under pressure and the middle engine drives a steam turbine in which a compressor (2) adjoining a heat engine (1) forms a heat engine unit. The hot gas pipe (8), the turbine (3), the low pressure gas pipe (9) and the superheater/evaporator (4) of the steam plant (5) complete the aggregate.
