A hot water distribution installation is disclosed comprising a tank (1) equipped with a "cold water intake" tube (2) opening into the low part, a hot water drawing off tube (3) opening into the top part and a third tube (9) opening at an intermediate level and intended for heating and re-heating the tank, said third tube (9) being mounted in series with the secondary (102) of a heat exchanger (10) whose primary (101) is a heat source and with a circulating pump (11) which causes the water to flow in the direction of the tank, the upstream end of this third tube (9) being connected (at P) to the "cold water intake"tube (2).
