The radio telephone housing has a handle and a handset. The handle (1) is releasably secured to the housing (18), with one end (14) fitted with a groove (11), engaging an axis on the housing. Its other end (3) has securing members (5), positively engaging a locking protrusion (22) of the housing. The securing members pref. contain a hook (6) fastened under a prestress resiliently on the handle, the locking protrusion formed by an axis. The handle may have a rubber spacer at its surface, facing the housing, near the end with the groove. With the handle engaged, the spacer lies between the handle and the housing. The shape of the handle is such as to form simultaneously a support for the handset (24). ADVANTAGE - Compact design with easy transport and facility for fitting into car.
