PURPOSE: To realize a high-speed and fixed-speed travelling of a tape by calculating a reel revolving cycle variable against a fixed-speed travelling and, on the basis of this calculation, controlling the revolving speed of the reel. CONSTITUTION: The initial reference value is outputted for a value Tt (ideal) corresponding to an ideal fixed-speed travelling (step 5b) by measuring T(t0 ) an FG value generated in the fixed-speed travelling (step 5a). Next, with travelling at N times speed selected (step 5c), an ideal pulse value Tt (ideal) is calculated for a reel motor on the take-up side (step 5d). After that, the present FG measurement Tt (measured) is measured (step 5e). Then, the ideal pulse value in the step 5d is compared with the FG measurement in the step 5e (step 5f). Thus, control is such that, if Tt (measured) >Tt (ideal), a voltage is raised which is applied to the reel motor on the take-up side and that, if vice versa, the applied voltage is reduced. |
