NEW MATERIAL: To obtain a compound of formula I (R<1> is an 1-6C alkyl and a 3-6C cycloalkyl; R<2> and R<3> are each H, an 1-3C alkyl, trifluoromethyl, cyclopropyl and an either one of R<2> and R<3> is H). EXAMPLE: Methyl N-(5,7-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-2-ylsulfonyl)-3- aminothiophene-2-carboxylate. USE: Antidote. It is useful for protecting cultured plants, particularly soybeans and grains, from weeding action of herbicides. PREPARATION: The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II (R<2> ' and R<3> ' are each H, an 1-3C alkyl, trifluoromethyl, a cycloalkyl, etc.) with a compound of formula III (R<1> ' is an 1-6C alkyl and a 3-6C cycloalkyl) in the presence of a base (e.g. pyridine) in a solvent such as dichloromethan and the like at 5-25 deg.C. |
