A ferritic steel resistant to oxidising, carburising and sulphurising corrosive atmospheres preferably at elevated temperature, containing especially chromium, aluminium and titanium, characterised by the following chemical composition by weight: - 9 to 15% of chromium - 1.5 to 5% of aluminium, - 1 to 4% of titanium, - 0 to 2% of molybdenum, - less than 0.15% of carbon, the remainder being iron and residual impurities resulting from the melting of the substances needed for the production. The invention also relates to a process for the production of the steel in which a set of thermal treatments makes it possible, on the one hand, to separate off a controlled precipitation of a hardening phase and, on the other hand, to recrystallise the steel.
|
