摘要 <p>When the apparatus has been placed in orbit, solar sails (11) are opened out and tensioned and the apparatus is brought into its working position, with its longituidnal axis orientated in the direction of the sun. During any variation of the apparatus from this direction to the sun, the force of solar pressure acting on the solar sails returns the apparatus to its original position. The apparatus is statically stable because the centre of mass of the apparatus is higher than the upper edge of sails (11) with rods (8) fixed to flange (10) of the body (1) containing the cosmic apparatus. To correct the position of the apparatus, the control surfaces (12) of orientation units (4) are rotated by pivots (13), to ensure accurate solar orientation. The units are fixed on the ends of the rods and can be rotated about three orthogonal axes.</p>
