Homogeneous immunochemical method for determining haptens by means of ion selective electrodes.

This test involves reacting the hapten with an antibody in the presence of a dehydrogenase labelled hapten. The free label is used as signal generator in a reaction with an enzyme substrate in the presence of Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) which is converted to NADH. NADH is determined electrometrically by its action on the peroxidase catalyzed splitting of fluoride ions from aromatic fluoro compounds using a fluoride selective electrode. No separation step is necessary and the test is homogeneous.
