PURPOSE: To provide a sealed antifriction bearing whose radius, axial direction length and supporting force are equal to those of an unsealed bearing by introducing such a structure that a pair of seal members to seal a hoop between the inner ring and outer ring as spaced in the axial direction are extended to the outer ring periphery along the end face extending in the radial direction of the outer ring from the inner ring periphery. CONSTITUTION: A pair of ring-shaped seal members 42 and 44 spaced in the axial direction seal the hoop 14 between the inner ring and outer ring and are extended in covering the outer ring periphery along the end face extending in the radial direction of the outer ring 12 across the hoop 14 from the periphery of the inner ring 10. The standardized length L is obtained by making the axial length of the outer ring 12 smaller than the standard and generating a difference corresponding to the thickness of the seal metal portion extending in its radial direction. The outer ring 12 is shorter in the axial direction than the inner ring 10, but the seal members 42 and 44 are arranged so that the total length of the outer ring does not enlarge even if an end seal is attached. The radial direction length of the bearing is standardized. Accordingly the resultant antifriction bearing is sealed, has the same boundary dimensions as a standardized bearing of the same type, and maintains the supporting force.
