PURPOSE:To display an excellent deodorizing function and to eliminate the danger of ignition, etc., by mixing recovered ozone with a volatile developer produced by a heat fixation device and putting the mixture in oxidation, and discharging produced gas from the machine through a filter. CONSTITUTION:Respective corona chargers 11, 14, 31, and 32 perform corona discharging, so oxygen in air is changed into ozone. The produced ozone is recovered through suction pipes 41, 42, and 43 and guided to a mixing chamber 50. Volatile carrier gas and a volatile toner component which are recovered by a fixing device 61 and a gathering chamber 62 are admitted to the chamber 50, so they causes oxidation with the ozone to decompose odor components. The ozone has high oxidizing power, so large deodorizing effect is obtained. Deodorization is carried out in the mixing chamber 50 and then the produced gas is discharged from the machine by the fan 54. The adsorption filter 55 such as an active carbon filter is arranged behind the fan 54, so the deodorizing effect operation is further improved. |
