<p>PURPOSE:To improve response to the pressure change in a piping and prevent damages to the piping and equipment and uncomfortable noise by disposing a stomach-like diaphragm in a pressure container and arranging a sealed space and a communication hole between the pressure container and the diaphragm, and between the diaphragm and a through connection pipe. CONSTITUTION:When a downstream side of a piping is suddenly closed, pressure in the piping suddenly increases or pressure vibration is produced. This pressure is directly transmitted from a connection hole 4a provided in a pipe 4 to a sealed space 9, presses, a diaphragm 3 out as shown with the dash-and-double- dotted lines to raise the pressure of the air in a sealed space 8 up to the value equal to the pressure in the piping, or expands or contracts the diaphragm 3 in response to the pressure vibration so that the pressure rise or the pressure vibration in the piping is absorbed. Because the space between the diaphragm 3 and the pipe 4 is communicated through a communication hole 4a provided in the pipe 4 and the number of the communication holes can be increased as required, response is excellent and the function of preventing water hammer is effectively utilized.</p> |
