<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a cover for minimizing the effect of dust and heat by composing a cover system in the X-axis direction of a circulation cover belt and an end cover filling the gap of a pair of side cover members. CONSTITUTION: The probe shaft 20 of an orthogonal coordinate measuring equipment 10 is supported by a Y-axis column 16 movably up and down, in the X-axis direction and retractively in order to perform predetermined measurements. The cover in the X-axis direction, comprises a pair of elongated side cover members 26 secured onto way members 24 spaced apart from each other and provided with a circulation cover belt 28 filling the gap thereof. The side cover members 26 is provided, at the opposite ends thereof, with a pair of end covers 30. The belt 28 moves along with the Y-axis column 16 while covering the gap constantly. Consequently, precise components are shielded completely from dust and heat while providing an attractive appearance.</p> |
