PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of the memory contents by urging the input of a password before the memory contents stored at reapplication of a power supply are restored and collating the coincidence between the input password and a password which is set when an environment is set. CONSTITUTION:A system BIOS-ROM 1 storing a set program (a) urges a password setting operation when an ON state of a resuming function is selected. A back-up RAM 2 saves the memory contents when the resuming function is kept ON. Then a message is displayed to urge the input of a password before the memory contents stored at reapplication of a power supply in an ON state of the resuming function are restored. The re-execution of a job is enabled in a state set right before the power supply is cut off only when the coincidence is obtained between the input password and the stored one. Thus it is possible to prevent such a case where the memory contents stored by a resuming function are destroyed by an outsider. |
