PURPOSE:To dry a powdery or granular material in high efficiency by placing a mesh belt conveyor in a box having an air-inlet port at the bottom and an exhaust port at the top and placing a far infrared ceramic flat heater just above the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A powdery or granular material charged through a hopper 1 is transferred from the top of the apparatus to the bottom discharging part with a mesh belt 2 and dried with a far infrared flat heater 3 placed just above the mesh belt 2. Air introduced through a punched net 7 is made to uniformly contact with the powdery or granular material and sucked and exhausted through the top exhaust port 8. The use of the apparatus is also effective in killing the insects and eggs and the drying can be carried out at a lower temperature compared with conventional drying apparatus. |
