<p>PURPOSE:To invariably apply the stable vertical pressure to sheets and improve the separating property by arranging nozzles so that air streams from the nozzles arranged in the direction perpendicular to the feed direction are sprayed at preset tilt angles against the feed direction above a sheet feed tray and the air streams are converged at the center of the sheet feed tray. CONSTITUTION:Sheets A on a tray 2 are vacuum-stuck to a belt 3 by a suction duct 6 below. The belt 3 is driven by rollers 4 and 5 under this condition, and sheets A are fed. Air streams are sprayed through nozzles 7-12 of a spray duct 20 with an angle alpha to separate the uppermost sheet A from other sheets, the vertical ascent pressure is increased by the air streams, and the sheet A is separated. The nozzles 7-12 of the spray duct 20 are arranged at preset angles beta1-beta3 against the feed direction so that the sprayed air streams are converged at the center W of the sheet feed tray 2. The adequate vertical ascent pressure is generated, and the sheet A to be fed can be easily separated from the remaining sheets.</p> |
