PURPOSE: To make a distal end of a shaft device bendable freely by operating a push bar mechanism which comprises a shaft bending device by means of a driving device arranged within a handle device. CONSTITUTION: Control wires 28, 29 constitute one portion of a shaft bending device, in which one end is fixed to a phase plate 31 at a distal end 19 of a shaft 13 and a respective opposit end is fixed to a rockarm, i.e., a crosshead 32 shown by wire beads 33, 34. The control handle device 12 includes a driving device having a link 46. The link 46 is fixed axially to one pair of rods 51, 52 and make a reciprocating motion as indicated by arrows 53 and 54 in accordance with the operation of the crankarm 56. By operation of a rod, i.e., a crankarm for moving push bars 51, 52, the link is contacted at surface with the crosshead 32 over a minimum area. By movement of push bars 51, 52, control wires 28, 29 are operated to bend the distal end 19 of the shaft 13. |
