PURPOSE: To enhance the press contact forces of right and left wipers by providing the two wipers with application devices for obtaining the press contact forces of wiper blades against a windshield, and making the press contact force of the at least one wiper different from that of the other wiper. CONSTITUTION: In a wiper 10, a moving shaft driven through a ball pin 14 and guided through a body plate 16 is supported by a wiper bearing 12 and a wiper arm 24 is fixed to the driven terminal of the moving shaft via a slotted conical fixing part 18. The press contact force of the wiper arm 24 against a windshield 36 is obtained by pressing the wiper arm 24 toward the windshield 36 by means of a tension spring 22. In this case, for the driver's seat wiper 10 which is turned rightward under a stationary state by supporting its left side and which receives a relatively large lift during travel, a tension spring 22 stronger than that of the wiper 10 of a front passenger's seat is used. |
