PURPOSE:To improve reliability of anti-skid control by judging that a car is running on a low mu road, based on deceleration in front and in rear directions of car body and the car speed, thereby increasing engine speed to give engine torque to a wheel. CONSTITUTION:When a master cylinder 3 operates in accordance with the amount of operation of a brake pedal 2 to supply fluid-pressure to a wheel cylinder 5 of a wheel 4 and the wheel is braked, an anti-skid control unit 1 operates a fluid-pressure control unit 7 to increase or decrease the fluid-pressure when the wheel speed detected by a sensor 6 is decreased to a specified value. In this instance, when a switch 8 which turns on when deceleration in front and in rear directions of car body is below a specified value, and a sensor 9 which turns on when the car speed is within a fixed range, are turned on respectively and an operation signal is outputted from the unit 1, it is judged that a car is running on a low mu road. EGI unit 10 thus operates an injector 11 to give engine torque to the wheel 4.
