PURPOSE:To obtain exactly an expandible intermediate having an extremely great step difference of uneven pattern without increasing the amount of a resin to be used by a method in which two kinds of expandible synthetic resins are coated on a base material having an uneven pattern under a specific condition and then expanded by heating. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin 2 containing the first blowing agent is packed in the recessed parts of a base material 1 having an uneven pattern, and then covered with synthetic resin 3 containing the second blowing agent having a higher decomposing temperature than that of the first blowing agent. Then, they are heated for expansion in such a way as to manifest an expanded uneven pattern by expanding the resin layer 3 by cavitied core portions resulting from the expansion of the synthetic resin 2. Furthermore, another uneven pattern is given to said expanded uneven pattern by an embossing device to obtain an expanded, decorative material. |
