TRANSMISSION CONTROLLER FOR OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE: To enable satisfactory transmission to the proper line of reception terminal equipment by transmitting/receiving the multiplex packet of configuration data packet and message data packet of communication terminal equipment through an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A system controller 16 detects the configuration of its own communication terminal equipment from a constitutive device 14 and forms the configuration data packet by reading the communication components of a system stored in a built-in register. The multiplex packet multiplexing this packet and the message data packet is transmitted through a transmitter 10 along the optical fiber. A receiver 12, which receives the multiplex packet, similarly automatically selects the proper line of terminal equipment of the correspondent component based on the configuration data packet in the multiplex packet and the message packet is satisfactorily transmitted.
