PURPOSE:To conduct the line test between a channel device and a terminal equipment immediately without a wait time by allowing a channel device itself to recognize an echo back request command from the terminal equipment so as to attain echo back enable state independently of a CPU immediately. CONSTITUTION:When the operator desires to conduct the line test between a channel device 40 and a terminal equipment 30, a keyboard or the like of the terminal equipment 30 is used to apply input operation of an echo back request command to request data echo back. When an input data from the terminal equipment 30 is an echo back request command, the microprocessor 41 sets its own equipment to the echo back mode immediately. Since the channel device itself recognizes the echo back request command from the terminal equipment and reaches the echo back enable state immediately independently of the CPU in this way, the line test between the channel device and the terminal equipment is conducted immediately without a wait time. |
