The subject of the invention is a suspension method and the device for implementing it. It consists in sandwiching the chassis 9 of the motor vehicle between two independent suspension systems arranged in opposition, one of them conventional, called "a negative-flexibility suspension", the other termed "positive-flexibility suspension". The "positive-flexibility suspension" is mounted in opposition to the "negative-flexibility suspension". Adjustment means allow simultaneous adjustment of the prestress in the "negative-flexibility suspension" and in the "positive-flexibility suspension".
