The invention relates to a telescopic device making it possible to verify the central height of a tennis net. It consists of an upper tube 1 nested in a central tube 2 which itself is nested in a lower tube 3. The three tubes cannot become detached from one another. They are each of equal length. When they are drawn out to their maximum extent, they have a length of 91.5 centimetres. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for tennis players who wish to verify the central height of a tennis net. <IMAGE>
