It consists of a plate 1 which supports a container 2, a simulator 6 having the shape of an upper dental arch, a pulley support 4 and a pulley 5. A lever 9, connected to a dish 8 by means of a leaf metal 7 passing over a pulley 5, is articulated on the dental arch. When the user deposits a weight of one gram in the dish 8, he imposes a moment on the dental arch and can measure its torsion directly on the pulley 5 which is divided into degrees. The device according to the invention is intended in particular for comparing the behaviour of the various dental arches subjected to an edge torsion under conditions approximating to their clinical use. <IMAGE>
