Method for the protection and heat and sound insulation of a building comprising a flat roof bordered by two facing parapet walls. This method consists in fixing, to the inner face and in the vicinity of the upper edge of each parapet wall 2, at uniform spacings and facing one another, attachment brackets 7 which are intended to receive and to fix the horizontal beams 8 of the framework; in fixing a metal profile 6 above each bay 4 of the face wall 1, the metal profile 6 serving as support for an insulating cladding 21; in positioning the insulating cladding 21 on the face wall 1; and in positioning on the framework a covering 26 whose periphery is connected to the said insulating cladding 21. <IMAGE>
