<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for treating fiber suspension. The method and apparatus are especially suitable for power screening of fiber suspension flowing to the head box of a paper machine. In known filter apparatuses the accept pulp is thickened or diluted, the distribution of pulp fraction is changed and the filter apparatuses have created pulses in the accept pulp. In order to eliminate or minimize these problems a new type of a rotor (7) has been developed to be used with the filter cylinder, on the surface of which on the filter cylinder side protrusions (10) of different shape have been arranged, by which protrusions not only is the filter cylinder (6) kept clean, but also is affected on the axial flow of the fiber suspension.</p> |
