PURPOSE:To maintain reliability over a long period and to reduce the warpage and skew of the medium by specifying the tensile strength of the resin protective layer and the compressive stress of the laminated film of the recording layer and inorg. dielectric layer. CONSTITUTION:The tensile stress of the resin protective layer 5 is controlled to 2.5-5.5kg/mm<2>, and the compressive stress of the laminated film 6 of the recording layer and inorg. dielectric layer is controlled to 15-55kg/mm<2>. The stress of the laminated film 6 is more preferably controlled to 20-50kg/mm<2> from the standpoint of the stability of the recording film. The stress of the resin protective film is more preferably controlled to 3-5kg/mm<2> from the standpoint of the prevention of warpage. The stress of the resin protective film controlled in this range is balanced with the stress of the laminated film 6. Consequently, reliability is maintained over a long period, and an optical recording medium with its deformation due to stress controlled is obtained. |
