The hydrostatic drive contains a hydromotor (16) which drives one or more three-phase current generators (18,19). The three-phase generator frequency signal is fed to an electronic controller (31) which supplies control signals to control elements in the hydraulic circuit of the hydrostatic drive to control the hydromotor speed.$ For controlling the delivery rate of two pumps, one continuously feeds hydraulic fluid to a gear wheel motor whilst the flow of the second pump is controlled using an electromagnetically operated proportional valve.$ USE/ADVANTAGE - For very accurate speed control of hydromotor or three-phase generator in motor vehicle.
