PURPOSE:To surely prevent clogging at an outlet port, by measuring the quantity of the increase in the strength of a granular or powdery material during its storage in a large silo to dishcarge a small quantity of the material at appropriate time. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of slit-like outlet ports 2a, 2b,... are provided at the bottom of a large silo 7 and located at the lower ends of slopes 4a, 4b,... for flowing. First pressure gauges 5a, 5b,... are installed at the slopes 4a, 4b,... near the drain ports 2a, 2b,... and second pressure gauges 6a, 6b,... are installed at the upper parts of the slopes to detect the pressure of coal on the surfaces of the slopes. The discharge of the coal is controlled depending on the detected pressure to keep excessive pressure from acting to the outlet ports 2a, 2b,... and prevent a bridging phenomenon from occuring near the outlet ports. |
