The known compounds of the general formula <IMAGE> in which A together with the two carbon atoms identified by alpha and beta represent the group <IMAGE> R<1> is halogen, cyano, lower alkyl, lower 1-alkenyl, lower alkoxymethyl or the group -COOR<6> or -C IDENTICAL C-R<7>, R<2> is hydrogen and R<3> is lower alkyl or R<2> and R<3> together are dimethylene or trimethylene, R<4> and R<5> are each hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl or lower alkyl, R<6> is lower alkyl, C3-7-cycloalkyl or C3-7-cycloalkyl-lower alkyl and R<7> is hydrogen, lower alkyl, where the compounds of the formula I have the (S) or (R,S) configuration with respect to the carbon atom identified by Y when R<2> and R<3> together denote dimethylene or trimethylene, can be used for the treatment of neurological symptoms associated with circulatory disorders of the brain. |
