1358342 Comminuting waste fibrous material ZIMMER AG PLANUNG UND BAU VON INDUSTRIEANLAGEN 14 March 1972 [24 March 1971] 11825/72 Heading B2A A process for making regenerated grannular material from waste as a precursor for moulding or fibre production materials comprises: comminuting the waste materials, which comprise synthetic high polymers, e.g. polyesters, polyamides, in the form of foil, fibre or wool, spreading out the comminuted material to form a fleece which is then washed, squeezed, teased out moistened with lubricant, e.g. tris nonyl phenyl phosphite, mechanically compressed and finally granulated. Comminution is effected by a cutting mill with screen. During the compressing process in which a fleece is formed, a nitrogen curtain may be used to counteract yellowing of the product.
