<p>PURPOSE:To increase a contrast ratio and to decrease flickers without increasing the number of stages and lowering an opening rate by setting the parasitic capacitance between the gate of one TFT and a display picture element electrode larger and utilizing the same as a storage capacitance. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of the thin-film transistors (TFTs) 20a, 20b respectively connected to two pieces of scanning lines 21a, 21b selected in different periods are connected to the display picture element electrode 25 of one picture element. The capacitance Cgs 1 between the gate of the TFT 20b and the display picture element electrode 25 is formed larger than the capacitance Cgs 2 between the gate of the TFT 20b and the display picture element electrode 25 by designing the patterns that the gate-source overlap area of the TFT 20b is larger than the gate-source overlap area of the TFT 20a. The generation of the flicker is prevented in this way without increasing the number of steps and lowering the opening rate.</p> |
