<p>Appts. for cold sterilisation, filling and sealing of containers consists of a tunnel operating at a slight over pressure under a mixt. of sterilising gas (esp. HCl) and air at a relative humidity such that no condensation occurs. On entering the tunnel, a small metered amt. of undiluted sterilising gas is injected into the container which then passes along the tunnel with a residence time sufficient to ensure complete sterilisation, after which the containers are filled and sealed.</p> |
