The moment of death is determined by an examination of the livid spots on the corpse. When pressure is exerted on a livid spot optical measurements should be carried out at different pressures. The device for optical measurements pref. consists of a handle (1), an optical measuring head (15) complete with illuminator and reflected light receiver plus a force measuring device (7) between head and handle. USE/ADVANTAGE -Mortuaries etc. Optical measurements at different pressures used to define mmoment of death for documantation, murder investigations etc.
