A hydraulic machine with axial pistons (1) of the swash plate type, the swash plate (9) of which is arranged on a cradle (5) swivellably mounted in a segmental rolling bearing (24), with a follow-up device (21) for the cage (19) of the swivel bearing (24), which device has a rod-shaped guide element (22) which is connected to the cradle (5) in such a way that it can be swivelled parallel to the swivelling plane in a first bearing (25) in the cradle (5), is connected to the cage (19) in such a way that it can be swivelled parallel to the swivelling plane in a second bearing (26) and can be displaced in its longitudinal direction, and is mounted in a third bearing (27) in such a way that it can be swivelled in the swivelling plane, is to be designed in such a way that follow-up adjustment of the cage (19) is possible without supporting the guide element (22) on the housing.
